Teaching and encouraging kids to climb, explore and grow is an important part of their early stages of development.
After 14 years of being in the Mining and Resources Industry, Director Ben Baarspul started his journey in landscape construction. His passion has always been to provide affordable natural play spaces that enrich and challenge children’s development through play.
Growing up as the son of a Master Wood Craftsman, along with his artistic flare, Ben set about to create bespoke play spaces where no two builds are the same.
Project Scape has now been creating nature playgrounds throughout Western Australian schools and Educational Facilities for the last 5 years. We have also teamed up with Animal Fun, a Curtin University based program to highlight the importance of play in the early years of children’s development.
As a family business Project Scape’s passion is to source natural sustainable materials. This process allows for greater imaginative play and introduces textures and rustic pieces.
“I always remember going bush with my dad as a child, there was something special about being in the elements and seeking out adventure. It’ these experiences I now draw on to create my designs ”
